Society as the main promoter of inequality   Currently, our society has been greatly influenced by the capitalist economic system. This factor has increased inequality because it lets see the great gap that exists between poor people and rich people. How do you think Frankfurt School thoughts can be applied to today in our own culture? Frankfurt thoughts can be applied today in our culture by encouraging students to construct their own knowledge, it could be doing new research studies and implementing an education that is contextualized. It means an education that is not removed from reality and can respond to social issues. We have to start moving away from the passive role of students and from that education which believes that students have to be a container that has to be full of theories, to be builders of knowledge in order to encourage a social transformation. That theory could be a utopia, but at the same time could be possible if teachers encourage the student to do research and to reflect on what they are learning.
